Karnataka airtel’s users now can enjoy the 3g service. Actually Leading Mobile Service Provider Bharti Airtel today launched its 3G service in India by bringing the airtel internet experience on 3G to Karnataka circle. The Karnataka is the largest circle by revenue market share. Airtel is targeting to launch in all 13 3G license circles by March 2011.
Plans so published are not so attractive and competing and they have focused on User experience.Here are the plans :
Sachet Plans
Rs. 9 for 10 MB, validity 1 day (valid till midnight)
Rs. 60 for 65 MB, validity 3 days
Sachet Plan Time Based
Rs. 45 for 30 minutes and then Rs.3 per minute (Valid till midnight of same day)
Standard Plans
Rs. 103 for 100 MB, validity 30 days
Rs. 200 for 250 MB, validity 30 days
Rs. 450 for 600 MB, validity 30 days
Rs. 750 for 2 GB, validity 30 days
Flexi Shield Plan
There is also another plan in which you pay Rs. 675 as a monthly rental and get 1.25 GB free usage on 3G.
Post 1.25 GB you will be charged 1 paise per 100 kB or 10 paise /MB
After that you pay for extra usage and max bill is Rs.2000 after which your speeds will drop to 20 Kbps
For Heavy Users, Airtel has Rs. 650 plan which offers 1.25 GB free data usage for 30 days. After 1.25GB, VBC of 1p/100KB upto a max shield (amount) of Rs. 2000.
Video Calls
Video calls both on-net and off-net will be charged at 5 paise / second for both local and national roaming.
How to activate Airtel 3G ?
SMS 3G to 121 and you don’t have to buy another SIM to enjoy 3G services as existing 2G SIM will be converted into 3G automatically on activation. After the confirmation by subscriber 3G Data Plan “Pay As You Go will be activated and all data access will be charged at 30p / 20kb (approx Rs. 15/Mb)

Airtel 3G connection is a scam……Dont waste your money on this…… I just took it for 1 month… 750 per month scheme……….
And I didnt get even 2G quality of internet………
I was charged 40K for 3 days……..They even gave me discounts and asking to pay 19K

I am cautioning you all, better go for broadband stick or any other network for mobile 3G…..But not Airtel……..

I can confirm this one. Airtel employees can actually lie about post-paid plan details and you may end up with a bill that has been inflated 10-20 times. They will insist and harrass you for bill payment even after acknowledging that you had been lied to. In addition you may be subscribed to services without your consent.
even I had some frustrating experiences with Airtel, service of Airtel has fell down enormously, I think they are not able to manage a huge customer base
