What’s FlashBack Mac Trojan ?
Yea,if you arent a Mac user,definitely you wont be aware of this trojan.FlashBack Mac Trojan had infected more than 670000 Mac worldwide and the count is still on..as per Kaspersky Security Vendor.
What does FlashBack Trojan does?
“Kaspersky Lab’s experts have discovered the operation algorithm of the malicious program, and created a dedicated server that imitates the C&C server that infected computers are supposed to connect to. For several days, this server registered all the infected computers that communicated with it, and recorded their UUIDs in a dedicated database. Thus, we can check if your computer’s UUID is in this database; if so, your computer was (and may still be) infected with Flashback. “
How do you know if your MAC is infected by FlashBack Trojan?
1.By visiting http://flashbackcheck.com,created by Kaspersky Labs allowing you to Mac users to check their UUIDs for infection.
So time to keep your UUID of MAC handy! FYI
